This guide provides fretboard diagrams for the following heptatonic scales (for left-handed people), based on each of the twelve notes of the:

- Major Scale Modes:

* Harmonic Minor (First Mode of Harmonic Minor Scale)

* Locrian 66 (Second Mode of Harmonic Minor Scale)

* Ionian #5 (Third Mode of Harmonic Minor Scale)

* Dorian #4 (Fourth Mode of Harmonic Minor Scale)

* Altered Diminished (Seventh Mode of Harmonic Minor Scale)

- Harmonic Minor Modes:

* Ionian Mode (First Mode of Major)

* Dorian Mode (Second Mode of Major)

* Phrygian Mode (Third Mode of Major)

* Lydian Mode (Fourth Mode of Major)

* Mixolydian Mode (Fifth Mode of Major)

* Aeolian Mode (Sixth Mode of Major)

* Locrian Mode (Seventh Mode of Major)

Each of the seven-note scales lists the notes within it, the chords that are made from those notes, a 24-frets fretboard, and the notes of each diatonic chord. Note: For the scales that have the same number of alterations (six sharps or six flats), both enharmonic scales are provided; otherwise, only the scale with less alterations is provided.

This guide also includes the fretboard diagrams for the following pentatonic scales, based on each of the twelve notes of the:

* Major Pentatonic Scale

* Minor Pentatonic Scale

For the pentatonic scales the chords are omitted, as five-note scales are more versatile in the chord construction.

This guide provides no music theory, just the diagrams with the notes within the scale, so you can glance at the fretboard while improvising or composing new music.
